I honestly couldn’t care less about politics in general, I hate this time of year all of the damn signs everywhere like its a fair with no fried dough to be found anywhere. I mean aside from purposely pissing off a few friends or my aunts just so they’ll yell at my dad, they bore me to tears. I mean sure ever since Trump became President politics have become more like The Jersey Shore which I did enjoy watching I will admit that, but still not my thing. Long story short, I only care when it is made into a movie or TV show. Now in just over a month, SHOWTIME is releasing a miniseries called The Comey Rule that will shed some light on the controversy surrounding President Donald J. Trump and former FBI Director James Comey.
“Jeff Daniels and Brendan Gleeson star as former FBI Director James Comey and President Donald J. Trump in this two-part miniseries that tells the story of two powerful men, whose strikingly different ethics and loyalties put them on a collision course.” - SHOWTIME
The miniseries is based on Comey’s No. 1 New York Times bestselling book ‘A Higher Loyalty’ but it also includes a years worth of additional interviews etc. The Comey Rule is said to be an in-depth, behind-the-scenes accounting of the insanity that was the 2016 Presidential election that put Donald J. Trump and Hilary Clinton head to head on the biggest political stage.
Not to get off track, and I know a lot of this series points to an unfair advantage for Trump winning the presidency over Hillary, but let us not forget 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) an action-packed thriller based on true events starring a jacked John Krazinski and Pablo Schreiber, a time when Hilary left American soldiers to die in Libya because she cared more about politics than American lives. It is directed by Michael Bay and is a damn good movie either way, but it will open your eyes a bit to the devil inside that frail woman. Yeah, she is a real POS.
I didn’t read Comey’s book so I really can’t speak for the facts of The Comey Rule, but it looks entertaining and I love Jeff Bridges and Brendan Gleeson so thats what matters to me at the end of the day. The Comey Rule will premiere as a two-part event on SHOWTIME September 27th. Watch the first trailer below.
