Written and directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hott Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Baby Driver looks to be one heck of a fun getaway driver flick with a complicated love story. Early critic feedback has been extremely positive and Wright tends to deliver the goods. Oh, and the trailers look AMAZING! I'm excited to see it! • Edgar Wright had been sitting on this idea for a film for many years. His first use of it was a music video he directed for British electronic duo Mint Royale and their track "Blue Song". The video stars Noel Fielding as a music-loving getaway driver for a group of bank robbers, one of whom is Wright's regular Nick Frost.
• First Edgar Wright film to be shot in the United States.
• When Edgar Wright wanted Ansel to be more stern in a shot he used the code words: "Man Driver!" He taught him the "Kubrick look" by showing Ansel a picture on his phone of Malcolm McDowell in character in A Clockwork Orange (1971).

The stellar cast includes Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, Jason Mantzoukas (Rafi from The League), Nick Kroll, Ryan Simpkins, and Allison Tolman. I'm pretty sure it will be corny and over-the-top, but that is fine with me! Plus I am a huge fan of John C. Reilly and Dave Franco so I will absolutely give this one a go. Also, the trailer looks pretty good! The full cast includes Alison Brie, Dave Franco, Kate Micucci, Aubrey Plaza, John C. Reilly, Nick Offerman, and Molly Shannon. Granted Bay catches his fair share of crap for making mindless action flicks but at the end of the day a Summer blockbuster in IMAX 3D is just what the doctor ordered! • This is the most expensive Transformers film, having a budget of 260 million dollars.
• This will be the second Hollywood movie to be shot in Cuba after The Fate of the Furious (2017). Coincidentally, Tyrese Gibson played a major role in the first three Transformers movies, and the Fast & Furious franchise.
• Michael Bay said that this will be the last Transformers film he will ever direct, for the moment. He is open to doing more films in the future if he gets a good story.

• John Singleton was originally attached to direct the film, but the studio and Singleton couldn't agree on how Tupac was to be portrayed in the film. The premise seems to be very similar to The Shallows which starred Blake Lively, which I did enjoy very much, but hopefully this adds a little something different to set it apart.
