From director Debra Granik, who also wrote the screenplay, Leave No Trace is a drama based on the 2009 novel "My Abandonement" from author Peter Rock. The film is based on the true story of a 13-year old girl and her father who live an ideal existence in a vast urban park in Portland, Oregon, but after a single misstep their ideal lives spiral out of control. The cast includes Ben Foster, Dale Dickey, Jeff Kober, and Thomasin McKenzie.
